Hong Kong

Hongers are definitely die-hard TV fans.  Every restaurant I do I see flat screen TVs...  They are everywhere... ranging from the local tea house to the higher range restaurants (well.. not the tops ones I must admit) 

I have always thought chinese cuisine are made for family.  And I have always believed dinner is for family to spend some quality time together (esp for family gathering) 

So what is this gigantic TV doing in the restaurant? even in the VIP room? Well I must admit it serves as a good source of conversation at times.. However I hate it when people just stare at the screen and stop listening to other people. 

Don't think I have ever seen something similar in Europe... Well.. only once in a local diner...
